In today’ Business Task I paired up with Shaan Chopra and we both set out to find work. Since we had no resources on our own to day, we had to manage everything by our self. We started out and walked a little before a lady gave us lift till model colony. Turning near E-square she actually also offered us a job in the Kiva Chain at the Tilak road branch. But since only camp area was allowed we politely refused.
After this we got two more lifts before we landed up on M.G Road .We asked around many shops and roamed for about half an hour before we got work at 5Th Avenue Store which sells Park Avenue and Raymond’s. The owner Mr. Poonawala agreed to give us work for the day at a pay of Rs 100. At the shop we were on the shop floor selling belts etc. We also helped with the repacking of shirts in their shop. The owner was very helpful and gave us a lot of insight on exactly how businesses starts ,runs and how business communication is very important. We were given some tea for refreshment.
After our job we walked from the railway station, took our platform ticket and waited for our professor at platform no. 6. !
What a day !! It was truly remarkable and a unique experience. I learnt a lot from this experience ! I am enclosing some pictures of my work day..
